About the Artist 

Mik grew up in a small town in Northern Iowa. She found her love for mud growing up at her great grandmothers house when she would make mud pies in the backyard for hours on end. 

After finishing high school, she attended Iowa Central Community Collage to receive a AA Degree. She than transferred to the University of Northern Iowa to receive a BA in Art Education and a BFA in Ceramics. 

Today, she is an Art Educator and continues to create one of a kind ceramic pieces in Northern Iowa.
